Nathan Law
MEng Mechanical Engineer
I am a recent graduate from the University of Warwick with a First Class in MEng Mechanical Engineering. I am highly motivated with strong multi-disciplinary engineering skills and interests in electromechanical, embedded and robotic systems. My skills in mechanical design, CAD, mathematical modelling & calculations, and design for manufacture are supplimented by practical experience in electronics, PCB design, control systems and programming.
Skills
- CAD (Fusion360, Inventor, SolidWorks)
- 3D printing & rapid prototyping
- Design for manufacture
- Technical Drawings and GD&T
- Engineering calculations (dynamics, stress, fluids, thermal)
- FEA (Abaqus/CAE)
- CFD (STAR-CCM+)
- Schematic and PCB design (KiCad)
- Microcontrollers (ESP32, STM32, Arduino)
- Motors and motor drivers
- C/C++
- Python
- MATLAB & Simulink
- Mathematical modelling and simulation (State space, ODEs, PDEs)
- Control systems (PID, LQR)
Projects

Railway Cable Trough Inspection Robot
A prototype for a robot capable of remote and automated inspection of cable trough condition.
Two-Wheeled Self-Balancing Robot
TODO: 1-2 sentence summary — what it is and the headline result (e.g. recovery angle, balance time).

Solvent Delivery System for Flow Chemistry Applications
A low-cost 3D-printed syringe pump capable of delivering at flow rates between 250-1000 µL/min.

Experimental Tool-Changer 3D Printer
Designing, building and adapting a 3D printer to use a tool-changing head.
